One of the most common types of medical tests currently used to decipher if you are ill, experiencing trouble, if you aren’t sick at all or to best find why you are in discomfort or medical finding is a blood test referred to as a Complete Blood Count, or more often explained as, CBC, its acronym.
You and I couldn’t exist without blood flowing head to toes within our bodies. Thus it makes perfect sense it is one of the first tests ordered by your doctor when figuring out diagnosis. CBC blood tests are often called out by doctors in t.v. dramas these days, which may be a bit of an overkill, but in reality, it is a crucial step in understanding what’s right and what’s abnormal with you, internally.
CBC blood tests can be requested by your doctor simply when you’re are under the weather, chronically tired, or even when you simply have a cold you can’t get rid of. You need not be at death’s door, nor obviously ill to have a CBC blood testCBC blood test ordered.
Next time you have an appointment with your doctor, physician or alternative practitioner for your 12 Month physical, if your doctor doesn’t order a CBC Blood Test, by all means, ask he or she does. It is the cheapest, most simple, maybe even life-saving act you can do and definitely should do at least once a year.
Your complete blood count test, or CBC represents your overall health and if there’s something to worry about, odds are, life saving alerts will be found within your blood and its components. There are exceptions to the case, but be on the safe side, anyways. Several determining factors are examined in CBC Blood Tests: white blood cells and red blood cells or levels, the HCT (or Hematocrit, which basically is defined by the volume of space which your blood occupies), Hgb (or Hemoglobin that accounts for the oxygen inside your blood cells), and platelet count which determines your blood’s ability to clot.
Too many or too few of another element of your blood, depending on what numbers reveal themselves can be a ‘red-flag’ that alerts your medical team what’s really going on. While the diagnosis variations can be vast and cover a wide spectrum, having a CBC Blood Test at least per year, after visiting your doctor can supply you the answers to most questions about your overall health, that just an external examination, listening to your heart, checking your breathing and using a tongue depressor just can’t do.
A CBC (Complete Blood Count) Test (or Tests) can provide you specific answers to why you’re fatigued, not feeling ‘normal’, bruising more often than normal, having chest discomfort, have a virus, are showing allergic reactions, plus a mountain of other potential issues. But, perhaps even more important, these blood tests allow you the potentially life-saving, longevity stretching benefit of catching early warning signs of perhaps debilitating and life shortening trouble if ignored. Write this down now for both yourself and your family to consistently (at least annually) take part in a CBC Blood Test or Complete Blood Count Tests. It may spare your life and theirs, but even if nothing is terribly abnormal, it’s a simple method to boost the quality of your current lifestyle.
Finding straight talk and real information about the healthy lifestyle you want to achieve, is not as hard as you think. No matter your interest: from leading a healthy life to alternative health dieting tips you can’t find in a book, you name it. Deciding to have a healthy living need not be sacrificial, or at all life altering if you do not want it to be, nor do you have to forgo all the tastes, joy and adventure you now appreciate as often is the myth.
